BLUE COAST 95' - A DIFFERENT CATAMARAN

The H2X shipyard has been working on the construction of the first Blue Coast Yacht maxi-catamaran, the Blue Coast 95’. From the naval architectural firm of Coste Design & Partners, this exceptional vessel is scheduled for delivery by the end of Summer 2010.

The Blue Coast 95’ heralds the first generation of custom sailing yachts offered by the Blue Coast design team.

Built with the latest high tech materials these maxi-catamarans are designed for long-distance cruising. The 95’ will be one of the largest catamarans in the world. Architect Jean-Jacques Coste has focused his attention on marrying volume and living space to create a luxurious blend of comfort, performance, pleasure and safety.

Due to its light weight configuration (55 tons) and hydraulic operating systems, the Blue Coast 95’ promises great performances at sea: speed, suppleness and elegance in all weather conditions. Its long and narrow twin hulls make this maxi-catamaran remarkably stable both underway and at anchor even in rough seas.

The Blue Coast 95’ is also equipped with a roller furling boom developed in partnership with French mast makers Petit Jean Composites and H2X. As with all Jean-Jacques Coste designs, the rigging is simple and efficient. The sails by North Sails include a self-rolling Solent jib, a Gennaker, as well as an innovative and high-performance 235sq meter roller furling Mainsail. In addition, the vessel’s minimum draft allows for shallow coastal cruising, which is often difficult if not impossible for similar-sized monohulls.

The 95’s classic elegance is the result of collaboration between Jean-Jacques Coste, the firm’s interior designer, Franck Delabarre, and the owner’s express wishes in terms of decor and use of space.
